Restoration Service Agreement & Liability Waiver

1. Assumption of Risk
The customer acknowledges that sneaker restoration, particularly on vintage, aged, or delicate materials, carries inherent risks. Due to the unpredictable nature of materials, adhesives, and prior storage conditions, unforeseen damage may occur during the restoration process.

2. Pre-Existing Conditions
John Manalo is not liable for damages resulting from pre-existing conditions, including but not limited to material degradation, brittleness, leather peeling (including peeling caused by exposure to tape on the upper), discoloration, sole or midsole separation, color or finish variations, or structural weakness.

3. No Guarantee of Results
While John Manalo strives for the best possible outcome, restoration does not and cannot guarantee “like-new” or factory condition. Final results depend on the initial state of the sneakers and the materials involved.

4. Post-Service Wear
Restored sneakers are not guaranteed against future wear, tear, or damage. The restoration process addresses existing issues but does not strengthen sneakers for continued use. Once shoes are returned, John Manalo assumes no responsibility for damages caused by wear, storage, or third-party handling.

5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall John Manalo’s liability exceed the cost of the restoration service paid by the customer. This limitation applies whether the claimed damages are due to breach of contract, negligence, or any other cause.

6. Intellectual Property / Marketing Use
Customer grants John Manalo a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display images of their sneakers (both before and after restoration) for promotional, marketing, and portfolio purposes on social media, websites, and other marketing materials.

7. Refund / Redo Policy
All sales are final. Refunds will not be issued once work has begun. If the customer is not satisfied, John Manalo may, at his sole discretion, offer a one-time redo to address specific, agreed-upon issues.

8. Shipping and Drop-Off
The customer is responsible for shipping costs, tracking, safe packaging of sneakers, and for purchasing shipping insurance if desired. John Manalo is not liable for loss, damage, or delays that occur during transit, drop-off, or pick-up outside of his direct control.

9. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting sneakers for restoration, the customer acknowledges and accepts these terms in full and releases John Manalo from any liability not directly resulting from proven negligence.
